Your cat is not going to drown, they are smart. And unless your toilet is 5 feet deep he will be able to climb out if he does slip. The toilet water wont hurt him - cuz kitty probably wont fall in in the first place and it wont be a large amount! But it is pretty cool that your cat goes in the toilet!

Cats are very agile and you have nothing to worry about.I wish I knew how to train my cats that way.

Your cat goes in the toilet?? Wow.
How in the world did you teach him to do that?

I wouldn’t worry too much, cats have good instincts and they hate water so if he were to fall in he would probably immediately jump out.
My cat fell in the bathtub one time right after I filled it up and she jumped so high and ran so fast I barely even saw her. They know what to do.

I have successfully trained 4 cats to use the human toilet. And like you, my cats are my babies too!.

My cat’s are fairly good, however for safety reasons I have added a baby seat to our regular toilet (Which flips up when we need to us it). I found one on eBay where it was really flat (unlike the toilet training seats for some kids where they have a raised front). This way it gives them more surface area to stand on.

The other option (not sure if you have trained your cat yet) but you can buy this system with removable rings (I have listed the site below) this way you can make the hole smaller until he is comfortable and safe.

Good luck, hope it helps, it’s the best thing I have done!
