having a problem getting the dog to even go for the ball? eric mentions in the video about making “ball #2″ more interesting. perhaps it will take some play time with the ball (no throwing) to make ball more interesting to the dog. dog goes for the ball and does not return to you? i read somewhere that dogs love to play the “chase me” game, try throwing the ball and when the dog picks up the ball, you run in the other direction, away from the dog, to get him/her to chase YOU.
well now i know how to get my dog to drop it but first i need him to pick it up!!! any one have an idea for me?
try givin him a treat to let go of the ball
that’s a good idea, but my dog runs to get the ball, and then doesn’t come back?!? how do i get him to come back with the ball in his mouth?
yeah but what if like my dog he goes to the ball looks at it then runs back to me with no ball in his mouth

my dog used to bring it back 2 me until i decided 2 chase after it.he was a big game at first but now i cnt be bothered 2 chase him so ill hv 2 try it.he’s gonna miss his game of chase.

mN… I don’t see that happening to my dog. he’s a big ol prima donna, a ball that’s not obtainable isn’t worth it.
