training in a dfft language is smart…
i would have that one
i have a german shepherd
SIT MEANS SIT - COOL!!!
they are trained in a different language so that they dont attack when someone commands it in english. or if they do attack the person being attacked cant give it commandds .
so what is the problem noob
maybe, but you are bad at spelling.
‘whe’ is not the correct way to spell ‘we’
Its true most American police dogs come from other countries, mostly Belgium and Holland so the handlers speak commands in those languages.Breeds like the Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherd have replaced the German Shepherd in police work because they are lighter, have a stronger bite and easier to train. Both the BM and DS are in this video.
Siberian Huskies are far to independent to be trained properly for K-9, but do make fantastic Wilderness Search and Rescue dogs. Them, with Bernese Mountain Dogs, and Alaskan Malamutes are the most common search and rescue dogs in the Nordic areas of the world.
anyone ever heard of CT’s K-9 Bruno
many of the dogs come from holland because whe are good in training dogs
They are very self-willed, and therefore difficult to train. Training huskies is HALF the battle of Sled-racing.
The guy in black at 04:15 says “blijven, blijven” which is dutch for “stay, stay”.Does that mean that dog was imported from the netherlands?
I noticed that in bite senario, dog is not attacking hand with the weapon in it? because the pads on the other hand?? wouldnt that confuse the dog and potentially put him at risk to be attacked by purpertrator?? just a note to those who maybe training their own dog at home.
These are GREAT dogs, I actually have a German Shepherd, she is amazing, I never have to worry about anyone coming into my home or hurting my children. However, has anyone ever asked what happens to these dogs once they are ” retired” from the police?? Sad, some end up being in dog pounds, my mother adopted a ” retired” police k9 years ago, his name was King, he was also the best dog ever, I guess he was there because of medical reasons, we gave him a great home until is last day.
hahahahahah! No they are most hper and friendlist dogs around. They just have a evil look to them.
can siberian huskies be police dogs?
An *actual* protection/police/military dog should, unfortunately the dog was apparently trained for the *sport* of schutzhund, which a lot of ‘experts’ think is the same thing.
arent theu supposed to attack the hand with the weapon first?
German Shperherds, Dutch Shepherds and Malinois; all the dogs in this video make excellent K9s. Gotta love those sweet sounding words, “Get ‘Em”!!
That’s bad. Bet that hurt. I’d make sure my dog had rabies before he bit him lol.
i saw this dude in the street he was running away from a police dog and he turned around and kicked it then he turned around again to kick it again and he got bite in the balls
Bon dressage. Je fais du RCI avec mon rottweiler. J’aime beaucoup cette discipline car elle comporte du pistage de stupéfiants, personne fugitive, personne disparue, pistage d’objets en campagne, mordant cessation, garde au ferme etc…etc…
i am from romania. that;s in europe (est europe)i have two police dogs. here in romania german shepperd rules. it isnt any dog better than g.s for the police. he is the most equilibrat dog. we have a ukrainian rase of german shepperd wich is taller and bigger with short tale but not very short.. and i can say that it is more agressive than the malinois. malinois are better for shows not for work in the field…
yeh..I know.. I think Mals are the best looking..although the laekinois(sp?) has a quirky look! ^_^
well, I’d say there is a breed of Pit Bull, the APBT, but the breed has, and is changing so much in likes of shape, and personality, its hard to define. there are now american stffie bulls, aswell as the original staffie(which is popular here in the UK) and they could be wrongly refered to as a Pit bull.Since theyre banned over here, I may be wrong, Ive never seen one for real in my whole life.
